This Karukera rum highlights a particular terroir from which it takes its name, "Les Vertisols". The Vertisols of Guadeloupe are made of clay and are located on an ancient coral massif. They are marked by a very dry winter season, and their high mineral fertility is ideal for growing sugar cane. These rich soils are found in the north-east of Guadeloupe and on Marie-Galante.
This particular terroir produces highly aromatic sugar cane.
This Karukera white agricultural rum is produced at the Marquisat de Sainte-Marie estate.
