Shack Rum Honey is based on a blend of traditional rums from Barbados, Trinidad and Guatemala, at least 5 years old.
This blend took place in an ex-xérès oak barrel to which honey was added, of course, but also orange zest, bitter orange, verbena, cinnamon, vanilla, cloves and marjoram.
All ingredients are 100% natural.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is initially marked by orange peel, or even mandarin orange. Spices quickly come into play, with cinnamon leading the way, followed by clove and the sweetness of vanilla.
The palate is both round and spicy. The orange peel first embraces the taste buds with its bitterness, then the spices come in to warm them abundantly. All this takes place with a great sweetness that makes things very easy. In the end, this roundness evokes the texture of honey, with its aromas invading the finish.
