Dictador 1977 2 Masters Royal Tokaji is a pure cane juice rum distilled in Colombia. Dictador's "2 Masters" project aims to blur the lines between wines and spirits. Hernan Parra (Dictador's cellar master) and Kovacs Adorjan Zoltan (Royal Tokaji's winemaker) joined forces to combine their expertise in this exceptional vintage. Tokaji (Tokay) is a sweet wine made from grapes affected by noble rot, which are crushed to allow the juice to settle and ferment slowly in the bottle.
After 42 years of ageing in Colombia, 10 casks of rum were shipped to the Royal Tokaji cellars in Hungary. They were then transferred to Royal Tokaji Aszú 12-year-old barrels for 7 months and 6 days. This extremely rich wine imparted all its roundness and complexity to this very old rum. Only 500 bottles were bottled in 2020.
