El Dorado Port Mourant 2009 is a rum produced by the Diamond distillery in Guyana. The distillery is owned by Demerara Distillers Limited, which has no fewer than 9 different stills.
Ce rhum met en avant un seul alambic de cette distillerie. C’est un “single still” qui utilise le double pot still en bois portant le nom de « Port Mourant ».
Cet appareil de distillation a été transféré vers la distillerie Uitvlugt en 1968 puis chez Diamond en 2000. La construction de ce double pot still remonterait à 1732. Il est fait de l’essence de bois greenheart provenant des forêts de la Guyane anglaise.
