Jameson is an Irish whiskey produced for over 200 years by the Midleton distillery in Cork.
It is made from a blend of malted and unmalted barley, with the addition of pure water. The barley is dried with hot air, so there is no smoke in the production process, and therefore no smoke in the finished product. Following slow triple distillation in copper stills, Irish whiskey is aged for a minimum of 4 years.
