Ced Ti Rums Arranged GwaMaRé Ginger Lemon 32° – 1.5 liters! : Description and customer reviews

This blend, created by Cédric Brément, brings together three French overseas departments: Guadeloupe (GWA), Martinique (MA), and Réunion (Ré). It's a combination of two rhum agricole, one from Guadeloupe and the other from Martinique, to which "galette" lemons from Réunion have been added. The name could have been completed with "BRé," but that would have been a bit too long: the fourth ingredient is fresh Brazilian ginger.

The Reunionese lemon galet is a lime, almost perfectly spherical, used to garnish fish, and of course for local punches!

Nico's tasting notes

In brief: fresh - fruit - mild spices

The nose is lemony, like a daiquiri or caipirinha. The lemon is completely natural, its bitterness and acidity unmistakable, bringing a freshness that is far removed from industrial syrups.
We imagine a slightly sweet side, and then we guess the balance that will operate in the mouth, between freshness and roundness, acidity and sweetness. In the meantime, lemon still dominates, its presence palpable from skin to pulp.

On the palate, lemon grabs the taste buds with a refreshing bitterness. Its natural flavors are further enhanced by the fact that the sugar is very discreet. The texture is fluid and light, and the ginger adds depth without overheating or overpowering.

The finish is once again strikingly natural and fresh.

"Cédric cements his reputation as a great craftsman with an impressive display of mastery..."
