Pampero Blanco is a molasses rum from Venezuela. It is a light column-distilled rum with the distinctive feature of being a filtered aged rum. Initially, it is a blend of lightly aged rums (6 months) and 4-year-old rums matured in bourbon casks. The distillery then applies charcoal filtration. This gives the rum a sharper profile, but above all it restores its crystalline color. The main benefit is to be able to offer bartenders a rum with complex aromas, without coloring their cocktails.
