Renegade Pre Cask Lake Antoine Pot Still Lower Crater Lake South is a pure cane juice rum produced by the distillery located near Pearl, in the northeast of the island of Grenada. Mark Reynier is the owner and founder of Renegade rums, a modern brand that brings out the richness and uniqueness of terroirs in the purest expression.
The Purple Tallboy (B69566) variety of sugarcane, very rich in sucrose, is cultivated in the "Lower Crater Lake South" terroir. This terroir is located on the steep slopes of the volcanic crater lake, Lake Antoine. The cane grows in a granular, silty-clay soil and therefore benefits from a unique microclimate.
The rum was fermented for 60 hours, then distilled in September 2021 in an iron still. This cuvée delivered a total of 3156 bottles in February 2022.
