Building on the success of its vanillé released in 2016, Reunion's famous distillery is releasing its Charrette Héritage l'Épicé rum.
The ingredients are simple and tasteful: Charrette rum of course, Reunion sugar, ginger and natural flavours ( pink berry in particular).
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is very sweet, with tangy notes of orange and cinnamon. Vanilla evokes a very round character, but not without freshness. There's also a certain warmth of livelier spices, as well as caramelized cola.
The palate is very sweet, with an indulgent sweetness of cola and licorice. The mid-palate shows a seductive rum, on unrefined sugar and pepper, then the spice waltz begins. Cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger take us to a very sweet, appetizing fruitiness.
