Rhum Transat Blanc 45.10° – blackcurrant / gingerbread box: Description and customer reviews

Rhum Transat Blanc, like its XO and Millésime 2000 counterparts, was conceived by Benoît Charbonnaud, a winemaker with a passion for sailing and a love of rum. These three characteristics have come together to create Rhums Transat.

This is a pure cane juice rum from a distillery in the north-east of Martinique...
Rhum Transat Blanc traveled 5 weeks in the holds of a ship from Martinique to Metropolitan France. It was then bottled in Burgundy.

Laurent's tasting notes

Its color is translucent.

On the nose, it's primarily cane juice that stands out. Then comes a blend of banana, pear and flower. The alcohol remains fairly discreet and the whole, though dry, is not without a gourmand note and a slight freshness.

On the palate, too, the alcohol is well balanced. The attack is soft for a very brief moment, then the palate becomes dry, with the cane reigning supreme.

The finish is rather long and dry, dominated by cane and a hint of lime.
