"Free the Kraken! Finally, the famous quote from the film "Clash of the Titans", inspired by the great monster of Scandinavian legend, has come true with the release of The Kraken spiced rum. Packaged in an original Victorian-style bottle with ears, The Kraken is dark, evoking the color of cephalopod ink.
Kraken is a traditional rum distilled in Trinidad and Tobago. After spending 24 months in oak barrels to take advantage of the tropical climate of the West Indies, the rum is enhanced with a blend of over a dozen spices that are given time to macerate before packaging.

Its coat is bronze.
On the nose, this is indeed a spiced rum. Spices and licorice are present, but vanilla is even more so. There's also a hint of cherry.
Sweet on the palate. The ever-present spices (clove) are joined this time by orange. Vanilla is also present.
The finish is long on spices and vanilla.
