Wild Tiger Spiced Rum is a traditional Indian molasses rum aged in ex-bourbon casks. Many ingredients are infused into this rum before bottling: cardamom (which dominates the taste), nutmeg, cinnamon, licorice, black pepper, ginger, Cassia bark, orange zest, honey and tea extract. All guaranteed free from artificial additives.
Blending and bottling take place in Kerala, on the banks of the Bharathapuzha (south of the Ganges).
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is quite fresh and fruity, with some ethereal notes that emerge in the first moments. The spices are tangy and playful, leading to a spiced "candy" character. The cardamom is as fresh as it is fragrant; it takes center stage, sometimes sharing the spotlight with cinnamon and nutmeg.
On the palate, the rum is fluid and very spicy, with no burn but the almost woody, vegetal sensation of spices on the tongue. The powderiness of the ground spices dries out the tongue, with the help of the alcohol, which comes through well on the finish.
"A spiced rum to be generously diluted in cocktails, because it certainly brings its share of spices..."
