Caney

Caney

Cuba's second-largest rum producer, the Caney distillery is a veritable institution, among the most famous brands in the Caribbean. Located in the south of the island, close to the city of Santiago, the estate benefits from the fertile land surrounding the Sierra Maestra mountains.

Caney rums inherit 150 years of Ron Ligero know-how, created in 1862 by Facundi Bacardi. After the 1959 revolution, Bacardi emigrated to the United States, but the distillery continued to operate with the help of the remaining Maestros Roneros. In 1962, Ron Caney was officially established as the rum of the revolution.

La renommée internationale de Ron Caney puise ses racines dans les plants de canne à sucre de Santiago, cultivés sans engrais ni pesticides, du soleil des Caraïbes et de l’inestimable formation des Maestros Roneros.
