Ron Esclavo

Esclavo rum

The Ron Esclavo story begins with a team of Danish whisky enthusiasts. At a whisky fair, the friends were seduced by a rum and discovered a whole new world. After realizing that there was not enough rum on offer in Denmark, they decided to roll up their sleeves and import the rums they liked themselves. The result was 1423 World Class Spirits, which would later become the basis of the SBS range.

Ron Esclavo is a Dominican Republic rum bottling created by 1423, in partnership with Oliver & Oliver. This Dominican blender, founded by a Cuban family, is behind a number of Latin rum brands, including Opthimus and Cubaney.

Esclavo rum is a molasses rum. Oliver & Oliver is a blender but not a distiller, so it brings in rums from Trinidad and Panama, which it blends to obtain its blends. Aging takes place in ex-Bourbon barrels made of American white oak.
