Coruba

In the 19th century, a Swiss merchant from Basel travelled the world in search of rare commodities.
Disembarking in Jamaica, he discovered rum and fell under its spell.

De retour en Suisse, il veut faire connaître ce rhum franc et authentique en Europe. En 1889, il fonde en Suisse la Compagnie Rhumière de Bâle, à la base du nom de la marque CoRuBa. Depuis 1962, le rhum Coruba est produit par J.Wray & Nephew, mais l’assemblage et l’embouteillage sont opérés à Bâle.
