Labourdonnais
The Labourdonnais estate was founded in 1771.
The park is home to a château built in 1859, restored in 2010 and now converted into a museum. The Mascareignes rum distillery was built in 2006 and renamed the Labourdonnais distillery.
The distillery operates from July to December during the cane cutting season, producing pure cane juice agricultural rum from a specially selected sourdough. The distillation method is modern and preserves the flavors.
The brand has 2 product lines:
– The fusion range includes simple and sometimes quite original flavors: citrus, vanilla, spices, ginger, orange, and also lemongrass. These rums are made with fruits and spices grown on the estate and macerated in the white rum produced by the estate.
– The Classic range: Premium, Original, Classic Gold, Spiced Gold, and soon, older rums. Read less
