Paranubes

It is in the South of Mexico, in the heart of the Sierra Mazateca mountains, that the family of Master Distiller Jose Luis Carrera has been making "aguardiente de caña" (in other words, white rum) for 3 generations.

The lush tropical environment is ideal for growing fruit, coffee and, of course, sugar cane.

Several varieties of organic sugar cane are grown on the estate's 14 hectares, and each hectare produces 2,500 liters of rum a year. Read less
