Wray and Nephew

À l’origine de la marque : une taverne établie à Kingston en Jamaïque dès 1825. En 1877, « The Shakespeare Tavern » est le pub de l’époque.
The founder's nephew, James Ward, developed the company and made it prosperous. At the time, Ward's rums won numerous awards. For example, his 10, 15 and 25 year old rums each won a gold medal at the London International Exhibition in 1862.
In the early 20th century, J. Wray & Nephew Ltd. bought Appleton Estate, Jamaica's best-known sugarcane estate.
In 2012, Campari acquired Wray & Nephew, a company with numerous rum brands: Wray & Nephew of course, but also Captain Morgan, Coruba, Appleton, Koko Kanu, Superior Rum Dark Sainsbury... Read more
